All Is Set For Commencement Of 2023 Pilgrimage- FCPWB

The acting director, FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mrs. Rahila Isa-Baita says all is now set for commencement of the 2023 pilgrimage to Israel.

Mrs Isa-Baita made this known in a telephone interview with newsmen from Israel.

She explained that the essence of the visit is to inspect the holy sites to make sure they are safe for the pilgrims to perform their spiritual obligations.

The acting director further gave assurance that all preparations for a hitch free pilgrimage had been concluded.

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrimage Commission and the entire pilgrims management board in Nigeria are in Israel to ascertain readiness for the pilgrimage that is coming up on the 29th of June” she stressed.

“The FCT director of the Christian Pilgrims board is here in Israel as it is our mandate to inspect sites to assure intending pilgrims that Israel is safe” Mrs. Isa-Baita added.

“We are in one of the holy sites at the moment with other management staff and stakeholders in the sector from different states including the new Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, we assure Nigerians in general that the pilgrimage is safe because Israel is open for pilgrims” the FCT acting Director stated.

She further added that there are a lot of sites Nigerians can visit without much problems because they are not close to war prone areas.

The ground handlers are on top of the situation in the region, we are here with the Nigerian Ambassador to the state of Israel, Mrs Agatha Afoekelu who is ready to receive the Nigerian contingent “Mrs. Isa-Baita noted.
