FRSC Directs Investigation On Incessant Assault On Personnel

Disturbed by the rising spate of assaults, knock downs and attacks on patrol operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, the Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed has directed a holistic investigation and immediate prosecution of the recalcitrant driver of the truck that knocked down a Marshal.

While reacting to the incident where a Marshal was knocked down by a truck conveying salt from Kano en route Lagos, the FRSC Corps Marshal reiterated the resolve to depeen collaboration with the judiciary for speedy prosecution of erring drivers.

According to him, it took the combined efforts of the military and police as well as the FRSC patrol team to pursue and apprehend the driver.

The FRSC Boss reiterated the commitment of the corps towards ensuring the safety of personnel at all times.

In recent times, a number of personnel of the Corps have lost their lives as a result of assaults, knockdowns, and unprovoked attacks.
