Corps Members Play Vital Roles In Safeguarding Nig- Gaidam

Minister of Police Affairs,Senator Ibrahim Gaidam has lauded the indispensable contributions of Corp Members (NYSC) towards upholding the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.

Speaking during the presentation of a report on the Role of Corpers in improving policing in Nigeria, in Abuja senator Gaidam emphasized the crucial role played by these young men and women in safeguarding the nation.

Minister Gaidam commended the dedication and commitment exhibited by Corp Members during their service, highlighting their willingness to serve with honor and integrity.

He stressed the importance of their role within the Ministry of Police Affairs, emphasizing that their actions, no matter how small, have the potential to create positive change and impact the lives of fellow Nigerians.

“The future of this country lies in your hands,” Minister Gaidam remarked, urging Corp Members to take the nation’s call to selfless service with utmost seriousness.

He emphasized their responsibility in shaping Nigeria’s destiny and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards national development.

Furthermore, Minister Gaidam underscored the NYSC program as a catalyst for accelerated national development.

He implored Corp Members to actively participate in championing the crusade against social vices such as cybercrime, electoral malpractices, and political violence, emphasizing their role in ensuring the success of Nigeria’s democracy.

In a goodwill message, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), represented by an Assistant Director Mrs. Chika Chris-moneke, expressed gratitude for the conducive atmosphere provided for Corp Members to contribute to policing in Nigeria.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo commended the commitment and courage of Corp Members, acknowledging their efforts to learn and contribute to policing development in the country.
