As Muslims around the world conclude this year’s Ramadan fast and observe Eid-el-fitr celebration, the Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nanna Nandap has extended her hearty felicitations to all Muslims and migrants resident in the country.
A statement by the NIS public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo says the CGI, while saluting His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubumi Tunji-Ojo, on this auspicious occasion, also commends all adherents of Islam who, through shared commitment and dedication, took time out to fast and pray for the security and welfare of the Nigerian state.
According to the statement, the Immigration Boss charges all Nigerians to continually promote godly virtues on a daily basis.
While expressing hope of a better Nigeria, the Immigration leadership assures the nation of the NIS’ renewed determination to make the nation’s borders safe.
The statement affirms that no space will be given to any criminally minded traveller across the nation’s windows as only properly documented and authorized migrants, who are capable of creating or adding value through legitimate engagements will be allowed a space to reside in the country.
Mrs Nandap also used the opportunity to call for an enhanced synergy among security Agencies stressing that by working together, they can fortify the foundations of national defense, security and development.
