Kapital FM 92.9 The Station that Rocks!
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has deployed Twenty Eight Thousand Regular and Special Marshals for effective traffic management across the country during the Eid-el Fitr.
Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali-Biu who stated this in Abuja at the commencement of a Six day Sallah Special Patrol said the operatives have been directed to cover identified Fifty one corridors nationwide.
According to the FRSC Corps Marshal, the directive is in view of the envisioned increase in vehicular movement and the need to make the highways safe from any form of road accident.
He explained that a special rescue team had been constituted in all the commands for emergency cases while all Zebra Points will be operational Twenty Four hours during the special patrol.

Among the corridors to be covered by the operatives are: Akwanga-Lafiya-Makurdi, Jos-Bauchi-Gombe, Sokoto-Tambuwal-Jega-Birnin Kebbi corridor, Katsina-Kano-Wudil-Dutse-Azare-Potiskum corridor, Kaduna-Saminaka-Jos corridor, Abuja-Kaduna-Kano corridor, Okene-Ogori-Isua-Owo corridor, Makurdi-Otukpo-Obollo Afor-9th Mile corridor, Asaba-Abraka-Ughelli-Warri corridor, Ibadan-Ogere-Sagamu corridor, Sagamu-Mowe-Lagos corridor, Bauchi-Alkaleri-Kaltungo, Kaduna-Kachia-Kwoi-Manchok, Keffi-Nasarawa-Toto-Abaji-Lokoja, Lekki-Epe-Ijebu Ode amongst others.
Dauda Ali-Biu therefore called on the motoring public to adhere to the lessons of Ramadan and the teaching of the prophet by imbibing patience, avoiding reckless driving and ensure that they drive within specific legal speed limit.
