The National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN and the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, CHPRBN say one Jamilu Yusuf who was apprehended alongside kidnappers in Sokoto is not a Community Health Practitioner or member of CHPRBN.

A statement by NACHPN in Abuja, says upon receiving the information, the National President of the Association, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed ordered an investigation, led by the National Publicity Secretary, to thoroughly examine the matter.

According to the statement, the investigation reveals that the individual in question, Jamilu B Yusuf, is not from Sokoto but rather from Niger State and a quack with no connection to legitimate Community Health Practitioners as established by the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID .

“In light of these findings, we wish to make it unequivocally clear to the general public that Mr. Jamilu B Yusuf is not a member of NACHPN or affiliated with CHPRBN in any capacity and his actions do not represent the values or standards upheld by our reputable organizations” the statement stresses.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Nigeria Police, particularly the Commissioner of Police Sokoto State, for their swift action in ensuring the safety of lives and property of Nigerian citizens and we urge law enforcement agencies to exercise diligence and verify the authenticity of their findings before disseminating information to the media, to avoid misleading the Nigerian populace” it notes.

According to the statement, it is imperative to recognize that community health practitioners are dedicated professionals committed to promoting and delivering quality healthcare services. We remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism within our profession.
