Renewed Hope Developmental Policies – FG To Collaborate With Media

Background

To ensure objective dissemination of the renewed hope developmental policies of the present administration, the Federal Government has promised to effectively collaborate with the media.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Dr Mohammed Idris stated this in Abuja during his maiden Ministerial news conference series.

Dr Idris who said this is the first in the series stressed that the briefing would be conducted to enlighten, inform and educate Nigerians and the world, as well as ensure that everyone is carried along through the provision of credible and timely information.

“The Ministerial Press Briefing Series that we are kicking off today, are in line with our ‘Restore Trust’ and ‘Amplify Policies and Programmes’ pillars. This is a chance for you, the distinguished members of the press, to engage with senior officials of the Federal Government, on behalf of the good people of Nigeria.

“You will hear first-hand about what the Federal Government is doing, policies, programs, targets and objectives, and you will be able to ask questions and receive relevant clarifications. We have also made efforts to ensure that this Briefing Series receives the widest possible coverage, through traditional and digital platforms”.

On his part, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari while highlighting that the present administration is aware of the current state of agriculture and food security in the country explained that the government has taken an urgent plan to address the emergency situation through the production of food to tackle the present situation and ensure food security in the country.

The Ministerial briefing which will be a continuous process is to strive to refine and improve robust engagement with the media and Nigerians on pressing issues that require urgent attention.
