N’Assembly Pledges Support For MAN To Revive Comatose Industries.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has pledged the support of the National Assembly for Nigerian manufacturers to make the industry flourish.

Akpabio made the pledge when Executives of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, paid him a visit in his office.

The President of the Senate expressed concern on difficulties faced by the manufacturers as a result of the current economic situation in the country adding that the situation would soon be a thing of the past.

Senator Akpabio explained to his guests the need for collaborative efforts between the National Assembly and the executive arm of government to turn things around particularly in the areas of security and the economy.

Earlier, the President of MAN, Otunba Francis Meshioye who led the delegation said the visit was to discuss the current state of the manufacturing sector and identify areas for legislative support which was crucial for manufacturers to effectively fulfil their long standing roles in employment and wealth creation in the country.
