The Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Mohammed Bulama, has affirmed the corporation’s continuous support for and celebration of staff excellence.
Dr. Bulama made this commitment during a meeting with Mr. Sunday Igoche from the programmes department, who received the prestigious Nigeria Media Merit Award 2023 for the best programme of the year.
Dr. Bulama expressed his encouragement for the awardee to strive for more success, and he assured the corporation’s dedication to improving working conditions for its staff.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Msurshima Kighir, the Director of Programmes, proudly presented the award to Dr. Mohammad Bulama, acknowledging the outstanding achievement of Mr. Sunday Igoche.
Mrs. Kighir commended Mr. Igoche’s hard work, stating that the award was well-deserved.
She urged other staff members to follow Mr. Igoche’s example, emphasizing the importance of dedication and hard work.
In response, Mr. Sunday Igoche expressed his gratitude to Almighty God, the organizers, and the FRCN Management for providing the platform for his achievements.
A Radio Nigeria Producer, Mr. Igoche clinched the Radio Programme of the Year Award 2023 at the 31st Nigeria Media Merit Award ceremony held at Muson Centre, Lagos, on December 17, 2023.
This marks his second win, as he had previously received the same award in 2020 and secured a runner-up position in 2021.
