To tackle terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities, the Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, has expressed Federal Government’s commitment to reinforce defence cooperation with France.
A statement by the Director Press and Public Relations, Henshaw Ogubike, says the minister stated this when members of the French Parliament and Defence Commission, led by Gassiloud Thomas paid him a visit at the Ship House in Abuja.
Highlighting the existing rapport between the two nations, the Minister emphasized the need to enhance collaboration in military equipment, training, and other areas.
He expressed optimism in France’s support for Nigeria’s security efforts adding that this synergy will bolster the ongoing fight against insecurity.
Earlier, Gassiloud Thomas,
who acknowledged the Minister’s proactive approach to security challenges assured continued support from the French Government, aimed at fortifying both nations against common security threats.
