The President Nigeria Baptist Convention, Reverend Dr. Israel Akanji wants Nigerians to pray fervently for God’s intervention and restoration of the country’s lost Glory.

Addressing the congregation during an induction service for Reverend Tom Takpatore at first Baptist Church Garki Abuja, Reverend Akanji emphasized that God will not abandon the country as Nigeria is a special project in his hands.

The president Nigeria Baptist Convention stressed the need for Nigerians not to lose hope and remain patriotic.

He pledged continuous support of the Church to the current administration’s policies geared towards alleviating the plight of citizens.

“It’s an opportunity to move closer to God, God himself loves us and he wants us to trust him, mankind a lot of times don’t trust in God until when they are in trouble, if you look at the Bible there were always difficult times when people had no food but God intervened, infact God intervened in a revolutionary way, God’s intervention changes situation, so for us it is a time to look more to God and depend on him. Apart from looking unto God, we also have our own responsibilities”.

On his part the newly inducted pastor of First Baptist Church Garki Abuja, Reverend Tom Takpatore appealed to leaders at all levels to give priority to policies that would enhance the living standards of Nigerians.

Reverend Takpatore expressed regret that the current economic situation was bitting hard on citizens.

“Our Prayer is that, all which God has in plan for this country shall come to pass, God has been faithful, he is the master Shepherd that leads people to various levels, we are thankful to God for his leadership”.

Also speaking the President, Women Missionary Union, Mrs Olukemi Ojo expressed optimism that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu would bring positive change.
