Ekiti State Government is to partner the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development to create wealth and enhance employment opportunities with its enormous deposits of Solid Mineral Resources.
The Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji made this known when he paid a courtesy visit on the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Oladele Alake in his office in Abuja.
Governor Oyebanji explained that the collaboration would create avenue for his state to key into the ministry’s vision so as to derive maximum socio-economic benefits for his people.
”Reason of my visit is to discuss how Ekiti state can work with the solid Ministry, any state that wants to develop must key into this vision because in this vision, I see a lot of opportunities and it will create wealth, jobs as well as increase security.” He added.
On his part, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dr Oladele Alake noted that Ekiti state is endowed with both natural and mineral resources with benefits of highly competitive cost in exploration and extraction.
‘Ekiti is one of the areas we are focusing on in terms of ensuring the solid Minerals sector makes its impact and contribute significantly to the gross domestic product of the country.” Dr. Alake stated.
