NASS Complex : Speaker Gives Contractor Deadline

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Abass Tajudeen, has issued a directive to the contractor overseeing the National Assembly complex’s renovation to ensure completion by December 31st.

The Speaker who made a surprise on the spot inspection of the project gave the directive to the Chairman of the House Services Committee to prevail on the contractor to fix the chamber of the lower legislative arm before the December 31st deadline.

The Speaker who was accompanied by his deputy, Mr Benjamin Kalu and scores of committee chairmen of the House emphasized the urgency of meeting the stipulated completion date.

The Chairman of the House committee on media and public relations, Mr Akin Rotimi Jr. described the move by the Speaker as a proactive one adding that there would be a follow-up inspection of the project before the end of this month.

“This means the contractor is going to work day and night to be able to meet that deadline,” he added
