Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi took his tally for the season in all competitions to three goals as Leicester hammered 10-man Southampton 4-1 at St. Mary’s in the Championship on Friday night.
It is Ndidi’s first goal in the league this season after scoring two goals in the Carabao Cup.
Also in action in the game were Kelechi Iheanacho and Joe Aribo, who both came on in the second half.
While Aribo came on in the 78th minute, Iheanacho was introduced with six minutes left.
Black Stars of Ghana defender Kamaldeen Sulemana was shown a straight red card in the 97th minute.

After running into Southampton’s box, Ndidi received a pass, neatly dribbled his marker before slotting past the goalkeeper.
England-born Nigerian midfielder Samuel Edozie got Southampton’s goal in the 25th minute which brought the score to 2-1.
Leicester currently top the league standings on 15 points after six games played so far in the Championship.
Southampton, who are on 10 points on the log, are in seventh position.
