Deputy Speaker Expresses Confidence In Tinubu’s 2027 Victory

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, says he is confident that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win in the 2027 general election.

Speaking in Abuja during a meeting with members of the City Boys Movement from Abia State, Kalu described the outcome as a “done deal,” pointing to the government’s record and its engagement with young people.

He said the administration had made deliberate efforts to include youths in leadership, arguing that this would help prepare the next generation of Nigerian leaders.

“The president is investing in the future by bringing young people into governance,” he said.

Kalu also encouraged young Nigerians to take advantage of such opportunities, saying leadership roles would go to those who are ready and actively involved.

Referring to the upcoming election, he said the government would campaign on its performance, highlighting projects carried out in the Federal Capital Territory under Minister Nyesom Wike.

Kalu added that his support group, Renewed Hope Partners, was already mobilising support and promoting the administration’s achievements across communities.

The coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Abia State, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, said the group was seeking a partnership with the Deputy Speaker’s office.

The meeting ended with the presentation of the group’s flag to Kalu.
