NSCC Commends A/Ibom State For Building Facility For Older Persons

The National Senior Citizens Center NSCC has urged State government to intensify efforts aimed at improving the wellbeing, dignity, and social inclusion of Older persons in the country.

To this end, NSCC wants them to provide a dedicated space where senior citizens can access services and support.

A Statement by the Head of Corporate Affairs, Media and Communication NSCC, Mr Abdulfatai Otori in Abuja, Congratulates the Akwaibom Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for establishing an ultra modern Senior Citizens Center for the Elderly.

According to statement, NSCC applauds the leadership of Akwa Ibom state government for recognising and celebrating the values and contributions Older Persons to the society.

The Statement further calls for continued collaboration with Akwa Ibom and other states towards ensuring that such facilities serve as a hub in promoting healthy ageing and enhancing the quality of life for older persons across the Country.
