Ramadan : Kogi Governor’s Wife Wants Muslims To Embrace Charity, Love

todayMarch 10, 2026

Background

The wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo, has urged Muslims to embrace the virtues of charity, love, and compassion during and after Ramadan.

Hajiya Ododo made this appeal while hosting women groups for iftar at the Government House in Lokoja.

She highlighted alms giving as a key virtue of Ramadan and stressed the significance of spiritual devotion, unity, and mutual support within the state.

“Ramadan serves as a period for teaching love, forgiveness, and unity, practicing these values can lead to more peaceful and connected homes and communities.”

Expressing gratitude to the women at the event, the Governor’s wife encouraged them to instill love and strong values in their children.

The Chief Imam of the Government House, Alhaji Bashir Musa, praised Hajiya Sefinat Ododo for her dedication to fostering faith and unity among women in the state and offered prayers for her and her family.

Participants at the event described the breaking of fast as a practical demonstration of cooperation and unity and called on Nigerians to imbibe tolerance, dialogue, and a sense of shared humanity despite their differences.
