The Federal Fire Service, FFS, has conducted a fire safety simulation and evacuation exercise at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness in public facilities.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Paul Abraham says the drill was supervised by the Head, Enforcement Unit, FFS, Murtala Muhammed, and his team.
According to the statement, the exercise assessed emergency response procedures and the readiness of occupants and safety personnel within the facility.
Following the exercise and safety assessment, the facility was confirmed to be fire safety compliant and duly certified by the Federal Fire Service.
It states that the Service commends the management and occupants of Transcorp Hilton for their cooperation and commitment to safety standards noting that Periodic drills such as this are essential in strengthening preparedness, preventing incidents, and ensuring the protection of lives and property.
The statement says the Federal Fire Service remains committed to promoting preventive safety measures and building resilience across public and private establishments nationwide.
