Osimhen Laments: ‘Napoli Treated Me Like A Dog’

Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has reportedly opened up about how he was treated during his time at Napoli, claiming he was “treated like a dog”.

Recall that Osimhen helped Napoli win the Serie A title in the 2022/2023 season under Luciano Spalletti, making history in the process.
The 27-year-old finished as the league’s top scorer that season, but the following campaign saw a dip in his performances.
The Nigeria international who revealed that he had a gentleman agreement with the club which allowed him to leave the following summer added that the commitment was not fully respected on the other side.

Osimhen said, “They tried to send me anywhere to play, but they treated me like a dog. Go here, go there, do this, do that. I worked so hard to build my career, and I couldn’t accept that kind of treatment. I’m not a puppet.”
The lanky striker has scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances this season as Okan Buruk’s side chase a fourth consecutive league title.

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has backed Arsenal to win the UEFA Champions League this year.
According to Oliseh, the Gunners have a better chance of winning the Champions League because they are solid and strong.
The former Juventus midfielder noted that the Premier League leaders are an exceptional team reason they are dominating in the Champions League.
Arsenal dominated the group stage of the Champions League and secured automatic qualification for the Round of 16 stage.
Meanwhile former Ex-Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, has declared that Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season.
According to Rooney Arsenal are “too strong and powerful.”
The 40-year-old is confident the Gunners will manage the title race better this time, especially after dealing with the pressure from previous seasons.
Arsenal has the chance to take a seven-point lead over Manchester City when they visit Wolves today.
