Ramadan : Cleric Solicits Support For Less Privileged

With few days to the month of Ramadan, wealthy muslims have been advised to channel their resources towards improving the wellbeing of the less privileged in the society.

An Islamic Scholar, Alhaji Ibrahim Azan who gave the advice at a forum in Gwagwalada Abuja noted that the advice became necessary to enable the needy have a sense of belonging during the month of Ramadan.

Also speaking, another Islamic Scholar, Mallam Isma’ila Abiola reminded muslims of the need to always abide by the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

Earlier, the Convener of the forum, Alhaji Yusuf Anas called for a policy that would alleviate economic challenges in the country.

Alhaji Anas also emphasized the need for religious groups to always compliment the efforts of Government on poverty reduction in the country.
