Lutheran Church Recognizes Selfless Service Of Adamawa First Lady

The Lutheran Church of Christ Yola Diocese has applauded the selfless service by the wife of the Adamawa State Governor, Dr. Lami Fintiri, across the state.

The Bishop of the church, Bishop Theophilus Shadrack, stated this at the 2026 pre-annual convention of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria LCCN humanitarian award ceremony held in Yola.

Bishop Shadrack explained that the recognition was based on the tireless efforts of the recipient in catering for orphans and widows, as well as her commitment to humanitarian causes across Adamawa State.

He also commended the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for what he described as the giant strides being recorded in the state, particularly in the areas of development and good governance.

Dr. Lami Fintiri, who was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Neido Kufolto, said humanitarian service is her passion and expressed appreciation to the church for the honour bestowed on her.

The wife of the Governor reaffirmed her commitment to supporting vulnerable groups in the society and called on individuals and organisations to complement government efforts in improving the welfare of women, children, and the less privileged.
