Speaker Hails Nigerians’ Resilience, Urges Collective Effort For Prosperity

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, has urged Nigerians to renew their hope in 2026 and remain steadfast despite the country’s challenges.

In a New Year message in Abuja, Dr Tajudeen says the year ahead calls for unity, resilience and collective effort toward national progress.

He acknowledges that 2025 was marked by economic and security challenges but said the country also recorded gains in governance and security, citing intensified efforts by security agencies to restore peace.

Dr Tajudeen praised the resilience of Nigerians, describing it as a key factor sustaining the nation through difficult times and called on citizens across religious, regional and political lines to work together to build a peaceful and prosperous country.

“In every new dawn lies a promise,” the speaker said, commending Nigerians for their patience and perseverance.
Looking ahead,

Dr Tajudeen reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to passing people-oriented laws aimed at improving economic stability, promoting inclusiveness and enhancing national security, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

He wishes Nigerians a peaceful and productive new year.
