Wike @ Christmas Urges Unity, Peace, Prayers For Leaders

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Dr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, has urged residents of the Territory, particularly Christians, to use the Christmas season to promote unity, peace, and prayers for leaders and the nation.

In his 2025 Christmas message, Wike described Christmas as a season of joy, love, giving, and good neighbourliness, calling on residents to reflect on the message of Jesus Christ and to live out its virtues of love, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

He encouraged Christians in the FCT to see the period as a time of sober reflection and goodwill towards one another, noting that such attitudes are essential for sustaining harmony and prosperity in the nation’s capital.

The Minister also called on residents to pray for Nigeria and its leaders to ensure peace and progress in the coming years, while appreciating FCT residents for their support and cooperation with the Administration throughout the year.

Wike highlighted the Administration’s achievements over the past 12 months, including the renovation of schools, improvement of hospitals, construction of roads and bridges across area councils, enhanced security, and support for the judiciary.

He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his support towards FCT development, and reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to improved infrastructure, service delivery, and security during the festive season and beyond.
