Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun is rejoicing with christians, most especially officers and men of the Organization on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
In his Christmas message, Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun admonished christians to use the occasion in praying for the unity, peace, development and continuous corporate existence of Nigeria.
He also stressed the need for them to use the period in rededicating their lives to the service of God and humanity.
According to him, this year’s Christmas celebration calls for sober reflection in view of the current situation in the country.
The Commander General said officers of VGN in the 36 States of the Federation and in all the 774 Local Governments in the country have been mobilized to compliment the efforts of formal security agencies in maintaining law and order as well as protect lives and property during and after the Christmas celebration.
He stressed the need for officers and men of the Group to shun acts detrimental to the goals and objectives of VGN.
While advising Nigerians to always report suspicious actions to security agencies, Dr Jahun explained that the task of protecting lives and property in the country is the responsibility of all.
He reiterated the continuous support of VGN to the actualization of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to Nigerians in the security.
The Commander General who identified training and retraining as key to improved productivity said VGN had mapped out various security and Intelligence gathering for its officers and men in the year 2026 towards combating banditry, kidnapping, boko haram and other forms of crimes in the country.
He therefore solicited the support of federal, state, and local governments to VGN in the area of logistics to enhance its fight against insecurity nationwide.
