Traditional rulers from Kuje, Rubochi, and Kwali in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027, attributing the renewed confidence to the extensive infrastructural transformation spearheaded by the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
The monarchs made their position known during separate visits by members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by their coordinator, Adamu Abdullahi.
They commended the federal government’s interventions over the last two years, noting that long-marginalised satellite communities are now experiencing visible and impactful development.
At Rubochi, the Esu Sa’Rubochi, Ibrahim Pada, described the changes in his community as undeniable, stating that the presence of government is now evident to all.
He praised Abdullahi’s leadership and assured of full backing for President Tinubu and Minister Wike, promising to rally his people toward sustained support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Similarly, the Gomo of Kuje, Haruna Jibrin, highlighted the expansion and rehabilitation of road infrastructure, which he said has stimulated economic activity and increased population inflow.
According to him, improved access has repositioned Kuje as a growing commercial centre.
He pledged the commitment of his people to upcoming Area Council elections and the 2027 presidential contest while offering prayers for the success and unity of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
In Kwali, the Etsu, Luka Ayedo Nizassan III, alongside a former Area Council chairman,
applauded the federal government for giving appointments to indigenes, noting that ongoing projects under Wike have enhanced trade and livelihoods.
He reaffirmed Kwali’s loyalty to the APC and encouraged the ambassadors to extend their advocacy across all districts and communities.
Responding on behalf of the group, Abdullahi commended President Tinubu’s development agenda in the FCT, implemented through Wike, whom he described as “Mr. Projects.”
He stated that the expansion of road networks and other infrastructural initiatives as key drivers of productivity and growth has brought transformation across the territory.
