Benue Widows Converge On Abuja To Celebrate Chief Obuah@63

todayDecember 17, 2025

Background

In a heartfelt show of appreciation, widows from Makurdi, Benue State, converged on Abuja to honour Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah, coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), as he celebrated his 63rd birthday.

Their visit highlighted the far-reaching impact of his decades-long commitment to philanthropy and support for vulnerable communities across the country.

Leading the delegation, Regina Peter described Chief Obuah as “a man of vision and ambition who chose to wipe tears from our eyes.”

“The Bible tells us that giving to a widow or the poor is giving to God Himself. Even though we have representatives in the House, senators, and governors among us, none stepped forward. A stranger chose to help, and in Jesus’ name, he will go far and fulfil his destiny.”

Secretary of the Peculiar Widows’ Forum, Esther Dominic described Obuah as a hero and father figure.

“When no one remembered us, he gave us food. Even though we’re not from Rivers or Delta States, he’s always been there, wiping our secret tears and giving us hope amid insurgency and other challenges,” she said.

Humbled by the tribute, Chief Obuah said, “I never planned a celebration, but the love from these widows who’ve journeyed from Makurdi overwhelms me.”

I’ll keep putting smiles on faces and adding value to lives. Even on a low-key day in the office, this joy is priceless.”

A prominent businessman and philanthropist, Obuah oversees urban development, security, and infrastructure improvements in Abuja through the AMMC.

His charitable work spans education, healthcare, and support for marginalized communities nationwide, earning him admiration from colleagues and beneficiaries alike.

The birthday gathering was a poignant reminder of the impact one individual can make through compassion and selfless service.
