The newly sworn-in President of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, FCT Chapter, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Kabi has pledged to work towards advancing the welfare of members.
Speaking after his inauguration in Abuja, Comrade Kabi highlighted that the union would build on past achievements, citing the recent success in securing the release of the 2024 promotion letters.
Comrade Kabi also assured members that the push for the 2025 promotion is a top priority of his administration.
The new NULGE President extended special gratitude to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, and the six Area Council Chairmen.
He also acknowledged the National leadership of NULGE, the FCT Area Council Service Commission for improved training allowances, and the Area Council Staff Pension Board for the prompt payment of pensions.

Earlier, National President of the Union, Comrade Aliyu Haruna-Kankara, urged the exco to uphold the tenets of the Union and lead with dignity.

who was represented by Comrade Alhassan Yakubu pledged continuous support at the national level to enhance the well-being of members.
Also, in a message, the Administrative Secretary, Area Councils Commission, Mrs. Eunice Yakusak admonished the elected exco to promote industrial harmony between the staff and authorities.
The 13 member executive committee who were all re-elected are to serve for a second term of four years.
