2025 Abuja Continental GM’s Cup: F&B Draw against Executive

Executive FC dropped their first points in the 2025 Abuja Continental GM’s Cup as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Food & Beverage (F&B) FC on Monday, December 1.

The encounter, which was held at the Abuja Continental Mini Stadium, witnessed a free-scoring match as two late goals from F&B secured them a point on Matchweek Four.

Executive FC didn’t waste time breaking the deadlock, as it took Godwin Gabriel only three minutes to score the opener before Opone Favour doubled the unbeaten side’s lead just a minute later.

However, defender Christian Elebe put the ball in his own net to give F&B a fighting chance, with the first half ending 2-1.

The second half kicked off with more action as Godwin extended the lead for Executive, before two late goals from Winner Ikechukwu leveled the scoreline for F&B.

The draw means F&B has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2025 Abuja Continental GM’s Cup, while Executive FC conceded for the first time in the tournament.

Tuesday’s fixture of the GM’s Cup will see semifinal-bound Engineering FC take on last-placed Housekeeping FC, who are on their last chance to qualify for the semi-finals.
