Nigerian Youths, Leaders, Hope Of The Nation- Remi Tinubu

todayNovember 10, 2025

Background

The wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerian youths to be champions of national unity describing them as leaders and hope of the nation.

She stated this in Abuja at the Christian Youth Leaders Conference
with the theme, “Let the Truth Set You Free,” urging the youths to live by the principles that enhance unity and fervent prayers.

While speaking on the current security situation in the country, the First Lady reaffirmed that under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the government has redoubled its commitment to secure lives and properties.

She further stressed the need for the church as an essential ally in nation-building to continue to pray, remain stronger and more united.

Earlier, the President Youth Wing, the Christian Association of Nigeria, Mr Belusochukwu, Enwere called for peace that transcends religious lines, identifying efforts of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) and government reconciliation plans as evidence of ongoing work to strengthen the nation’s bond as an indivisible entity.

While commenting on the declaration made by the U.S. President Donald Trump, Enwere stated that, “this is a moment that demands not defensiveness, but dialogue; not division, but discernment,”

According to him, security should not be used as a political tool but as a fundamental right and a necessary bridge to national reconciliation.

“To our leaders and security commanders:
We appeal to you—act now, “Strengthen intelligence. Equip our armed forces. Punish collaborators. Protect the people, urban areas, and rural communities. Make security a priority above politics.”

The three-day conference is expected to conclude with a unified plan of action from the youth body, aimed at using the powerful words during the conference into a sustained movement for peace and unity in Nigeria.
