Anambra : Voting Ongoing In Most Polling Units In Awka South

Voting has started in most polling units in Awka South Local Government Area.

The Independent National Electoral Commission officials deployed for the exercise arrived with materials as early as 7am.

However, the electoral officers are waiting for voters to start coming.

At Ward 6, Awka 2, which is at Udeozo Memorial Primary School III, with 3 polling units, Unit 03 17 and 18, electoral officers are on ground with materials, but no voters in sight.

This is an indication that the election may be mared by voter apathy, as young boys of voting age were seen playing football at the school’s football pitch.
