Anambra Decides : Awka South Peaceful In Ongoing Governorship Election

As the Anambra Governorship Election gathers momentum, our correspondent Kayode Oyedare reports that most of the places visited in Awka south local government area, are peaceful as security personnel are on patrol to ensure that the process is orderly.

According to him, INEC officials arrived before 8 am with election materials at polling Units 009,010, 023, 024. 025 027,028, at the Nodu village hall where 7 polling units are situated.

Voter requesters were immediately pasted for voters who are waiting patiently to check their names.

Members of the community also provided chairs for voters and security personnel before the commencement of the election.

However, shops were opened for commercial activities in the area despite the movement restriction order by the inspector general of police, with Tricycle operators also operating freely.
