Transcorp Hilton Hosts Senior Media Executives, Reaffirms Beneficial Partnership

The management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has hosted top media executives to an evening of appreciation and networking, reaffirming its commitment to sustaining a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with the Nigerian media.

The event, themed “Media Cocktail Reception,” brought together senior editors, journalists, and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, FCT Council, led by its Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike.

In his welcome remarks, the General Manager of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, Mr. Martin Zarybnicky, expressed gratitude to the media for their consistent support and positive reportage over the years.

He described his experience in Nigeria since assuming duty in August as “remarkable and deeply rewarding,” praising Nigerians for their warmth, humor, and hospitality.

“This is definitely the leading hotel in Africa. We are very proud of this brand over 30 years strong and the first of its kind in Abuja,” .
“In just three months of living in Nigeria, I’ve found the people amazing, the food exceptional, and the culture inspiring. We at Hilton truly value our relationship with the media and look forward to deepening it,” he added.

Zarybnicky reaffirmed the hotel’s commitment to open engagement with the media, emphasizing that collaboration remains key to innovation and growth in the hospitality industry.

Communications and Marketing Manager of the hotel, Ijeoma Osuji
also delivered a brief presentation highlighting Transcorp Hilton’s hospitality innovations and corporate social responsibility milestones.

According to her, the hotel recycled over 15,000 kilograms of waste through eco-friendly initiatives in 2025 and supported hundreds of individuals, including persons with disabilities, through community projects.

Other key management staff present included Mohamed Said Khalil (Hotel Manager), Betty Aguiyi-Ironsi (Commercial Director), Ifeanyi Nnadi (Brand and Marketing Manager), and Ekun Daniel Friday (Director of Sales).

Notable attendees were the Immediate Past President of the NUJ, Comrade Chief Chris Isiguzo, MFR, Deputy Managing Director of Arise News, Bayo Awosemo, and NUJ officials including Comrade Grace Ike, Comrade Sandra Udeike, and Rosemary Ukoko-Tega.

Recognised as one of sub-Saharan Africa’s leading five-star hotels, Transcorp Hilton Abuja features 670 luxury rooms, eight restaurants and bars, extensive recreational facilities, and event spaces that regularly host heads of state, global conferences, and high-profile guests.
