The Archbishop of World Harvest Ministries, Prof. Leonard Kawas, has urged Christians to live humbly and align their lives with biblical teachings as an expression of devotion to God.
Speaking during Sunday worship in Abuja, Archbishop Kawas told the congregation that humanity was created to give God pleasure, warning that “if you refuse, God will give you pressure.”
He recalled the story of Nebuchadnezzar, who was humbled until he recognised God’s supremacy.
Citing Revelation 4:11, he said believers must live to please God rather than themselves.
He described humility as “spiritual strength,” noting that God rewards those who are meek, as stated in Psalm 149:4.
Archbishop Kawas highlighted four principles that help believers live in accordance with God’s will, humility, prayer, seeking God’s face, and turning away from sin, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14.
He cautioned against self-centred living and moral duplicity, encouraging worshippers to surrender their struggles to God.
The service concluded with the dedication of Princess Fiona Kawas and Janice Margaret Liga, marking a moment of celebration for the congregation.
