FCT : FRSC To Conduct Free Medical Test For Commercial Drivers

The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC is to conduct medical tests to ascertain health status of commercial drivers.

FCT Sector Commander of FRSC Mr Felix Theman who stated this while speaking at the commencement of the 2025 Ember Months Campaign in Abuja said the sector will collaborate with medical experts to conduct a medical outreach for drivers for free including blood sugar tests, hypertension, vision screening and give out free eye glasses

Mr Felix Theman said adequate regular and special Marshals have also been mobilized to ensure free flow of traffic at the Four Major entry and exit routes of the Federal Capital Territory.

He maintained that FRSC has already intensified public awareness in religious centers to educate road users on safer driving habits and general road safety practices.

The Sector Commander stressed that mobile courts will be a key strategy in addressing high risk Offences such as overloading, excessive speeding, and dangerous driving during the Ember period .

Mr Felix Theman, however, warned motorists to stop inducing FRSC personnel to accept bribes against tickets, assuring necessary disciplinary actions on officers that make advances.

He solicited the cooperation of road users for effective traffic control in the Six Area Councils.

The FCT Sector Commander assured that the sector will collaborate with security agencies to ensure the safety of road users.
