INEC : Prof Mahmood Handsover LeadershipTo May Agbamuche

MThe Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu has handed over the Commission’s leadership to the National Commissioner, May Agbamuche-Mbu, who will now serve as Acting National Chairman.

The announcement was made by Professor Yakubu today during a high-level meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

Mrs May Agbamuche is the oldest serving National Commissioner in the electoral body.

He solicited the support of the commissioners and directors of the commission for Agbamuche until the appointment of a substantive chairman.
