Rededicate Yourselves To Nation Building – Kogi Gov’s Wife Urges Nigs

Wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo has called on Nigerians to
rededicate themselves to Nation-Building.

Hajiya Sefinat Ododo made the call at an event to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary at the Government House, Lokoja.

Represented by the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Margaret Salifu Oyibo, the Kogi First Lady explained that the Anniversary is not only a moment of joy but also a reminder of Nigeria’s historical struggles and the shared responsibility of building a prosperous Nation.

While emphasizing the special role women play in nation building, Hajiya Ododo advised women and youths to recommit themselves to its progress.

She also called on Nigerians to continue to pray for leaders at all levels, saying that their success in delivering good governance would translate into a stronger and more prosperous country.

The wife of the Governor of Kogi State
applauded Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for impacting the lives of the citizens through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), noting that she has provided succour and economic empowerment to households across Nigeria.

The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatimah Momoh, expressed gratitude for the contributions of women in the Country,
urging them to work together to uphold the values of unity, justice, and peace.

The wife of the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hajiya Zainab Aliyu, also stressed the role of youths in shaping the future of the Country and appealed to them to work together with the elderly to build a prosperous Nation.
