Kogi Govt Constitutes Committees For Effective Health Care Delivery

Kogi Government has inaugurated a
Sustainable Supply System Steering and Technical Committees to Oversee the State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Lokoja, the State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza urged the committee members to uphold integrity and diligence while carrying out their duties.

Doctor Adeiza pointed out that the inauguration of the System Steering and Technical Committees reflects Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration’s dedication to advancing and developing the state’s health sector.

While underscoring the administration’s substantial investments to prioritize health in its agenda, the Health Commissioner explained that the Committee is essential for strengthening the governance structure of the agency.

The Executive Secretary of the State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, Ibrahim Salamat Onize, outlined the agency’s objectives to include ensuring a consistent supply of quality drugs at affordable prices to all public health facilities, enhancing healthcare delivery systems, and improving patients health outcomes.

Onize maintained that the inauguration of the Sustainable Supply Health System Steering and Technical Committees represents a significant milestone for the state’s health sector.

She explained that the mandate and professional performance of these committees would greatly advance best practices in drug and medical supplies management both within the state and among other states in the Federation.
