Independence Anniversary : CG NFSS Congratulates Nigs, Urges Tinubu To Sign NFSS Bill

The Commander General of Nigeria Forest Security Service, NFSS, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin has congratulated President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kasshim Shettima, members of NFSS nationwide and the entire Nigerians on the occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a message to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary in Abuja, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin said although Nigeria has not been without her challenges, the nation’s continuous corporate existence is worth thanking God for.

He expressed the hope that with the support of all stakeholders, Nigeria would soon take its rightful place among comity of nations.

While urging religious groups not to relent in praying for the country to overcome its economic and security challenges, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin wished all citizens a happy 65th Independence Anniversary.

He used the opportunity to appeal to President Bola Tinubu to sign the NFSS Bill before him into law.

According to him, the Bill when signed into law will go a long way in actualizing the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration in the area of security.

The Commander General noted that giving NFSS constitutional recognition would equally strengthen Nigeria’s security apparatus most especially in forests across the country

Dr. Joshua Osatimehin who restatated NFSS continuous support to the Police, Military, NSCDC and other formal security agencies in protecting lives and property in the country stressed the need for all Nigerians to effectively support the fight against banditry, kidnapping, boko haram and other forms of crimes and criminality nationwide.

He noted that security
is everybody’s business adding that with the collaboration of all and sundry, Nigeria would soon overcome its economic and security challenges.
