The House of Representatives wishes to inform the public that plenary resumption, earlier scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
This adjustment was formally communicated to Honourable Members yesterday via an internal memorandum issued by the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria.
A statement by the house Spokesperson, Akin Rotimi, says the slight rescheduling became necessary to allow for certain administrative and procedural adjustments to ensure the House reconvenes in full readiness for the effective conduct of legislative business.
“The leadership of the 10th House of Representatives reaffirms its commitment to the effective discharge of its constitutional mandate of lawmaking, representation, and oversight”.
“During this period, the work of Committees, including public hearings, oversight visits, and other legislative engagements, will continue to progress, ensuring that the business of Parliament remains active and responsive to the needs of Nigerians”.
It says the House appreciates the understanding of the Nigerian people and urges continued support and engagement as it remains focused on delivering on its Legislative Agenda (2023 – 2027) for the benefit of all.
