The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has called on Young People to display the highest level of discipline, obey speed limit, avoid use of phones, and drive responsibly.
FCT Sector Commander, Mr Felix Theman, made the call during a Road Safety Hangout to commemorate the United Nations International Youth Week in Abuja.
The Theme for the Road Safety Youth Hangout 2025 is “Safer Roads, Brighter Future : Youths Leading The Change.
Mr Theman frowned at alarming statistics, indicating how many young people are killed and maimed due to their unsafe and risky behaviour on the road.
The Sector Commander, while soliciting the support of Nigerian Youths in checking challenges on effective traffic management in FCT, appealed to them to use their energy in bringing about sanity on the road.

According to him, the Sector Command recently arrested 250 drivers for committing 550 Offences while some offenders prosecuted by the mobile Courts were sentenced to 14 days community service.
This, he said, included suspension of drivers license and payment of prescribed fines to serve as deterrent to others.
Mr Theman assured that the Corps would not relent in engaging the public and the youths towards channelling their energy and strength in Nation building.
18 Friends of the Federal Road Safety Corps were inducted as Celebrity Special Marshals, including Radio Nigeria’s Correspondent, Kayode Oyedare.
