Transcorp Hilton Commits To Strengthening Partnership With NUJ FCT Council

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the media and strengthening its strategic partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Federal Capital Territory FCT, Council.

The hotel’s Commercial Director, Betty Aguiyi-Ironsi, and E-Commerce Manager, Ijeoma Osuji, reaffirmed their commitment when they paid a courtesy visit to the NUJ-FCT leadership.

They expressed satisfaction with the existing partnership between Transcorp Hilton Abuja and the NUJ-FCT Council, noting that both have maintained a mutually supportive relationship.

Notably, both women are the first to hold their respective positions at the hotel.

Aguiyi-Ironsi praised journalists as essential contributors to national development, describing the media as “frontline workers” and vowing continued collaboration.

We are simply here to appreciate the media and pledge to continue our strategic relationship with the NUJ-FCT,” she said.

Ijeoma Osuji thanked the union for its longstanding media support, noting that Transcorp Hilton’s visibility and recognition were in part due to coverage from media partners.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ-FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, described the move as a step in the right direction and expressed her delight at women taking centre stage.

She also praised the hotel as a key media partner in championing development

We do not take this partnership for granted,”Ike said,

Comrade Ike also urged the hotel to revive its annual cocktail event that once brought journalists and editors together at the end of the year.
