Transcorp Hilton Set To Host 2025 FCT NUJ Press Week

todayJuly 18, 2025

Background

Transcorp Hilton Abuja, one of Nigeria’s most prominent hotels, is set to host the 2025 Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council Press Week on 22 July.

More than 300 participants are expected to attend the event, marking another milestone in the hotel’s ongoing engagement with national development.

Located in the heart of the capital, the hotel has long been regarded as a symbol of resilience and growth in Nigeria’s hospitality sector.

As the country intensifies efforts to revive its economy, the hotel remains a key contributor, employing hundreds directly and supporting many more through local sourcing and partnerships.

The hotel combines international service standards with deep local experience. Its parent company, Transcorp Hotels Plc, ended 2023 as the best-performing stock on the Nigerian Exchange, reflecting investor confidence in the group’s business strategy.

The hotel is currently constructing a 5,000-capacity event centre aimed at boosting business tourism in the capital.

Plans are also underway to launch Transcorp Hotels Ikoyi in Lagos, expanding the brand’s national footprint.

Meanwhile, the group’s digital platform, Aura by Transcorp, continues to democratise access to travel and leisure by allowing individuals and property owners to participate in the tourism economy.

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has introduced several new guest features, including a revamped buffet restaurant, 24-hour fitness centre, in-house clinic, and a popular Pastry Corner.

The hotel also supports local food systems through sustainable sourcing practices and reduces its carbon footprint with hybrid energy solutions.

As preparations for the NUJ Press Week advance, the hotel is reinforcing its role not only as a hospitality provider but also as a supporter of public discourse, professional journalism, and national events.
