The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Dr Olusola Odumosu has commissioned a newly constructed outpost, fully furnished with modern facilities to enhance operations.
The outpost donated to the Command, by the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of Leisure Court Limited, Segun Abolaji, brings to three, the number of Divisional Command and Security Outpost structures the NSCDC, FCT Command has commissioned under the leadership of Commandant, Olusola Odumosu,
Commissioning the outpost, situated at Leisure Court Estate, Lugbe, Abuja, the FCT NSCDC Command Boss, said the building was a significant stride towards enhancing security in the territory.
” The commissioning of this outpost is not just about celebrating the erection of a building; it symbolizes our resolve to create a safer environment for every citizen in the FCT regardless of location”.
“This Outpost is strategically positioned to respond swiftly to security challenges and to engage with communities effectively, Odumosu revealed.”
He said that, the outpost will serve as a base for NSCDC officers to monitor activities in the area, support neighborhood watch programmes and foster a spirit of cooperation between the Corps and the communities they are serving.
The FCT Commandant, was optimistic that the Corps would create a formidable partnership with the community that will allow them detect and prevent crimes before they occur, adding that the Corps recognizes that community engagement was paramount in enhancing security.
Odumosu, expressed his profound appreciation to the Chairman/CEO, Leisure Court Limited, for the donation which he noted would impact on the Command’s ability to serve and protect the community.
He implored all stakeholders and community members to join in the mission towards achieving a safer FCT by working hand-in-hand to build a secure environment where every citizens can live without fear.
In his speech, the Chairman/CEO, Leisure Court Limited, Segun Abolaji, said it was his pleasure to encourage and strengthen security in the area since he can not carry a riffle as a civilian.
He expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Corps and assured his.continous support.
