The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Lere Olayinka has stated that no land has been allocated to any of the Minister’s children in the FCT yet, describing the claim as another “failed sponsored blackmail.”
In a statement on Tuesday, Olayinka said those attempting to blackmail the FCT Minister would need to intensify their efforts, emphasizing that nothing would stop him from continuing his developmental initiatives in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Olayinka however clarified that, like all Nigerians, the Minister’s children, friends, associates, and relatives have the right to own land anywhere in the country, including the FCT, provided all legal conditions are met.
According to the statement, one of the Minister’s sons is named Jordan and there is also a company named Jordan Farms and Estates Limited but there is no basis to assume that the company belongs to Wike’s son.
The statement pointed out that the company’s ownership records are publicly available at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), challenging those behind the claims to publish the actual names of the company’s owners.
“…as of today, no land has been allocated to any of the Minister’s children…Yes, land was allocated to Jordan Farms and Estates Limited, a company duly registered in Nigeria, but none of the Minister’s children is listed as a director of the company.
“For instance, my name is Lere Olayinka, and there is Lere Local Government in Kaduna State. Do I own the local government? Am I even from Kaduna State? There are companies like Jordan Telecommunications, Jordan Foods, etc. Are they also owned by Wike’s son? There is even Jordan’s Farms in the United Kingdom. Is that company owned by Wike’s son too? Olayinka querried.
Olayinka, while reacting to the issue of who owns the company, Hyper Communications Limited, urged those who are desperate to attack the FCT Minister to desist from unnecessary blackmail
