Fmr Presidential Spokesman Set To Launch A Book On Buhari’s Administration

The Special Assistant to former President, Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity Malam Garba Shehu, says arrangements have been concluded for the launch of a book on the administration of the former President and how he served as Spokesman for eight years.

Briefing newsmen in Abuja, Malam Shehu, explained that the book, which he authored and titled; “According to the President: Lessons from a presidential spokesman’s experience” chronicles the administration of the former president.

According to the former presidential spokesman, the book was also written to inspire students who aspire to have a career in journalism, public relations and on management of the Newsroom.

Mallam Shehu who explained that the book is analytical, informative and for academics in its approach added that it is packed with personal anecdotes and shared experiences of a cross spectrum of reporters and editors in dealing with the author in his work as presidential spokesman.

He noted that though it is not possible in a 260-book to explain the significant work, policies and programs undertaken by the administration in its eight years, it is not in doubt that President Buhari brought the nation to a new pinnacle in the efforts to lay the foundation for a self-reliant Nigeria.

Mallam Shehu added that President Buhari’s administration made sincere efforts in improving the quality of life of the poor, farmers, youths, and women, as well as small businesses.

He added that the book also explains how the former President brought a culture of personal integrity and setting new benchmarks in transparency with the institution of the Treasury Single Account, Tax Identification Number, TIN, BVN and the Whistle Blower policy amongst others.
