A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen has called on Nigerian Youths not to allow the present Global Economic Meltdown to affect their positive contributions to nation building.

Addressing over Three Thousand Methodist Youths in Abuja, Justice Walter Onnoghen noted that most of the youths are struggling with poverty, unemployment, insecurity and high level of corruption in the country hence the need for them to be diligent and channel their energy toward meaningful development.

He also urged them to be agents of peace and transformation as well as promoting a mindset that values excellence at all times.

In his address, The Archbishop Methodist Cathedral of Unity Wuse Abuja, Most Reverend Michael Akinwale appealed to the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for Youths to develop entrepreneurial skills that will take them out of the present unemployment challenges.

In his welcome address, the National President Methodist Campus Fellowship, Edet Otuk said the conference was organized to bring the youths together and speak with one voice to the authorities.

Mr Otuk assured that the outcome would bring out the best out of the Youths in fulfilling God’s Mandate for this generation.
