SSA To PBAT Distributes Foodstuff To Vulnerable People

todayJune 11, 2025

Background

In a significant move to key into the renewed hope agenda of the present administration, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, Comrade Asefon Sunday is distributing essential foodstuffs to support families in Ado-Ekiti.

In a statement signed by him in Abuja, Asefon said the gesture was part of his birthday celebration.

The statement explains that the Presidential aide will also be reaching out to one hundred bikemen with free fuel and foodstuffs while five hundred students from institutions across the city, will also be given foodstuffs to support their welfare.

“In celebration of my birthday, I will be marking the occasion not with fanfare, but with service, giving back to those who represent the heart of the community” Comrade Sunday states.

“In an act that reflects my lifelong commitment to service, I will be distributing foodstuffs, not just meals for a day, but essential provisions that can support families for days to come”.

As part of the celebration, I will be reaching out to100 bikemen in Ado-Ekiti who will be given free fuel and foodstuffs, and 500 students from institutions across the city, through the distribution of essential foodstuffs to support their welfare”.

The statement says the gesture is a reminder that leadership is about empathy, impact, and proximity to the people.

“This outreach is not just a gesture of goodwill, but a reminder that leadership is about empathy, impact, and proximity to the people. It is a personal yet symbolic expression of the Renewed Hope Agenda one that prioritizes people, dignity, and service” the Presidential aide notes.

Rather than celebrating with luxury, I am choosing to celebrate by lifting others, reinforcing that leadership begins with presence and compassion. Indeed, birthdays are best celebrated in service to others.
