APC Open To Welcoming Wike – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is open to receiving the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Nyesom Wike, should he choose to officially join the party.

The President made this known while commissioning the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way), which connects Ring Road One (Nnamdi Azikiwe Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Road), as well as other key projects in the Katampe District of the FCT.

According to President Tinubu, although Wike is not yet a member of the APC, his contributions to the development of the FCT are commendable.

According to the President, the party would remain in high spirits with Wike’s continued involvement, while its political rivals would be left in discomfort.

“With Wike, APC will continue to be in a joyous mood, and those opposing us will keep wallowing in pain. Let him continue to deliver good governance in a way that unsettles those who cannot match his pace,” Tinubu said.

In his remarks, the FCT Minister, Dr. Nyesom Wike, dismissed criticisms of his administration, asserting that the developmental progress being recorded in the territory speaks for itself.

“Those criticizing us have no choice but to keep watching the ongoing transformation in the FCT in the next 17 days, on national television that may even raise their blood pressure.”
