Ogah To Work With Deputy Speaker For Tinubu’s Re-election

todayJune 8, 2025

Background

A former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, has pledged to work with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Ogah, who is also chairman of Master Energy Oil, made the declaration during a visit to Kalu at the Renewed Hope Partners office in Umuahia.

He praised the Deputy Speaker’s legislative record, particularly his sponsorship of the bill establishing the South East Development Commission, which he said addresses long-standing issues of reconstruction and rehabilitation in the region.

We will put in everything we have, including our resources. When the two of us are united, I can tell you the president should go and sleep.”

Kalu welcomed Ogah’s support and said preparations are underway to highlight Tinubu’s achievements across the South East and beyond as part of a broader campaign.

We share a lot in common. If we work together, we achieve results. “There are thousands of people out there waiting to get on board.”

The alliance is being interpreted by political analysts as a strategic effort to boost Tinubu’s popularity in the South East ahead of the 2027 general election.
