The Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has called on traditional and political leaders to work collectively with the security agencies to check the current security situation in the country.
Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba while addressing the congregation during this year’s confirmation and induction Service held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent Life Camp Abuja said the current situation whereby farmers could not get access to their farmland could result to serious food insecurity in the country.
He argued that most of the foreigners attacking farmers and making lives uncomfortable for rural dwellers have the support of indigenes hence declaration of a state of emergency in Benue, Zamfara and other high security risk States would not address the current situation .
According to him, traditional rulers should wake up to their responsibilities and fish out unpatriotic citizens, providing information to the bandits and insurgents who have vowed to block the sources of food of the people.

He also appealed to President Bola Tinubu to summon the political wiil and expose those behind the current situation which he said could worsen the nation’s economy.
Most Reverend Ndukuba, however, urged the Christian community not to relent in praying and promoting peace in the country.
He assured that the country would come out stronger if all Nigerians, regardless of political, religious, and ethnic differences, come together and resolve to work for the progress of the country.
Over Six Hundred candidates were confirmed and admitted into the Girls’ and Women’s Guild as well as the Mother’s Union of the Church.
